Halloween Goes Hollywood - Star Wars Characters Voted Hottest Costumes for Men, Women, Dogs and Babies!

Darth Vader Halloween costume hottest for males and Princess Leia costume a leader for females in annual poll of hottest children & adult Halloween costumes.

October 19, 2005 (FL) - Expect Darth Vader and the whole Star Wars crew to come knocking for treats this year, as indicated by a survey of more than 3,000 visitors to ExtremeHalloween.com, a complete online resource of adult Halloween costumes, and costumes and accessories for children and pets.

"The Darth Vader Halloween Costume led our annual poll for the most popular costume, just ahead of Spiderman - the survey favorite last year," said Harold Maxwell, president of www.extremehalloween.com. "The Princess Leia costume was the hottest costume for women, Yoda was the most popular baby costume and also the top dog costume."

Website visitors were asked "Which Blockbuster Movie has the best costumes of the year?" This year's hottest movie costumes were Star Wars Revenge of the Sith with 42% of the vote, followed by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, then Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, Fantastic Four, and Kingdom of Heaven.

This year's survey results revealed:

·The Darth Vader Halloween costume is the hottest costume for men (27.4% of all votes) & boys (21.9%)
·Baby Yoda is the hottest baby costume (19.4%)
·Yoda Dog is the number one dog costume (26.9%)
·Princess Leia (29.1 %) and Princess Amidala (18.5%) are both on the list of hottest costumes for women and girls

Some things never change: little girls voted for Fairy with 25% of the vote. But Barbie was neck-in-neck with Princess Leia, each receiving 13% by girls.

If you're dressing up your infant, think Baby Yoda and M&Ms both received 19% of the vote for hottest baby Halloween costume.

Pet costumes are growing in popularity and Star Wars' Yoda Dog is the Number One Halloween dog costume voted by 26.9%. Next in popularity is Super Dog for your pooch. That received 23.9%; followed by 19.6% for Pirate Cat.

"Many families and groups are planning to dress up as the entire clan from Star Wars, as parents go trick or treating with their kids for safety reasons," said Shari Maxwell, Vice President of leading Halloween costume retailer Annie's Costumes www.anniescostumes.com.

As far as what is favorite treat to receive, chocolate takes a big lead with 53.4%, followed by candy (20.6%), money (1.9%), gum (1.6%), and low carb snack (1.0 %)
